I post a lot of progress photographs, but I think this one will be the most important one I post. This isn’t about the amount of weight that i’ve lost, it’s so much more than that.
(5’8”)
257lbs: On the left, 26th March 2012, I spent my 18th birthday party hating myself and wishing it would all end. I didn’t want a party. I didn’t want people to see me. I didn’t want to have to find a nice outfit to wear. I couldn’t stand up all night and had no confidence in myself at all. Wearing a UK size 24-26, (US 20-22) I had to borrow clothes from my mum’s friend and buy from specialist stores.
208-215lbs: Now, i’ve hit a struggle in my weight loss journey and need all the support I can get.
BUT. I got invited to a house party and this photo was taken just before I left. I enjoyed it, I didn’t worry as much about what people thought… I walked into a shop and bought an outfit off the shelves in a UK size 16-18 (US 12-14) I fell asleep and could breathe without so much extra fat on my neck, chest and stomach suffocating me.
You know what, I can’t even explain how I good it feels so i’ll stop here. The lists of improvements and off scale progresses are endless, and I don’t want to bore you all! Keep on working hard, we all struggle!
